Sunnyside Cemetery was originally a family cemetery for the Hood Dairy and O'Berry families, pioneers of Pinellas County. The first burials in the cemetery took place in the late 1800's. The cemetery is a blend of a modern, well-maintained perpetual care cemetery with the appeal of a rustic, white rail fence community cemetery. The cemetery has both upright monument sections, family estates, and private mausoleums available. Additionally, several different options exist for the cremation-oriented family, including ground burial, cremation niches, cremorials, memorial benches, and scattering gardens. As owners of Sunnyside Cemetery, Anderson-McQueen offers the convenience and cost savings of coordinating everything at one time, at one place, with one professional. Or, if you prefer, we can work with any other cemetery you choose to coordinate your plans. In fact, we are affiliated with a brokerage service, which can usually obtain cemetery spaces in any of the area cemeteries at a fraction of their current prices.
