Obituary of Shirley J. Wurts

Wurts, Shirley J. Formerly of Kettering, Ohio, Reno, Nevada, and recently St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away September 27, 2018.  She is survived by daughter Tammy Thomas, son John Michael Wurts (Judy), daughter Tish Trummer (Jerry), sisters Trudy Jarrett and Lynn Grills, sister-in-law Elizabeth Falkner, Aunt Shirley Watt, grandchildren: Steven, Jonathan, Stephanie, John, Meghan, Andrew, Matthew, Timothy, Mark and David. She was preceded in death by the love of her life John W. Wurts, Jr. and his youngest son Daniel Wurts. She was born in Chicago, IL, spent most of her life in Ohio, but Reno, Nevada was where she was happiest...she loved the mountains. Shirley had an amazing gift for knitting.  She knitted hats and socks for several charities. She loved to teach others to knit, only asking that they teach someone new so that the art of knitting would not be lost. She will be remembered for her devotion to all her cats and her undying love for her John. She will forever be in our hearts.
