Obituary of Sandra L Anderson

Sandra L. Anderson, 70, passed into the eternal love of God on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in Tampa, Florida.   Sandy was born in Catskill, New York to Adam and Louise Fairchild on September 9, 1948. She married her first love, Stephen (Steve) L. Anderson in 1970 and was married 28 years when Steve passed away in 1998.

Sandy will be greatly missed by those who loved her.  She was an amazing mother who loved vacationing in the mountains of Tennessee with her children, going to the shooting range with her son, Jason, and getting lost while on new adventures with her son Steve and his family.  As a granny, she was beyond reproach-always up for fun, whether that was a midnight run for sweets, exploring local attractions, or camping out under the stars with her granddaughter for a concert.  She was always up for anything, any fun, any new journey.  Her loved ones knew that if they ever needed anything, all they ever had to do was ask.

Sandy began her early working years as a lab technician.  When she married Steve, she settled in as a mother and worked as a pre-school teacher.  Sandy worked as a cake decorator at the family Carvel and in later years she worked as and retired as a phlebotomist. 

She is survived by her son Jason Anderson, Masaryktown, Florida; Stephen Anderson II, his wife Merrily and their children- Riley, Bryn and Caden- all of Tampa, Florida; Brother, Ron Fairchild, his wife Rosemary of St. Petersburg and their children- Ron, Lisa, Michael and Mark.

A memorial service to celebrate Sandy's life will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. M.L.K. Jr. St. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33704, (727) 822-2059. Donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
