Obituary of Karen Mary DelPino

Karen Mary DelPino, 63, of St. Petersburg, Florida died of pancreatic cancer on January 1, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in the Oncology Unit.  She was preceded in death by her parents Howard Molloy and Elaine Grantham; and siblings Howard Molloy Jr, Kathleen Molloy and Elaine Molloy.  Karen is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Ross Grace Sr.; children Daniel DelPino, Lisa Bruscato and Maureen Roland; grandchildren Brodie, Daniel, Bobby, Kenny, Luca, Nicholas and Rocco; and siblings James Molloy, Patricia Molloy, Charlene Molloy, Maureen Kasczcak, and Christine Waldron.  Born in Yonkers, New York, Karen resided in the area until 1986 when she and her family moved to St. Petersburg.  She obtained her nursing degree in 1989 from St. Petersburg College and worked as an LPN for the remainder of her life.  She had a way of connecting with her patients on a personal level often spending off-duty hours with them.  Karen was a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother who was cherished by those close to her, both family and friends.  She enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, and would often take camping trips on a moments notice.  Karen’s visitation will be Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 1pm until 2pm with memorial service at 2pm at the Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home at 2201 Dr. M.L. King Street in St. Petersburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation 941-677-7181.
