Obituary of Beverly Abentroth

Abentroth, Beverly “Bev”, 82, of St. Petersburg passed away peacefully at home, January 1, 2019, surrounded by her family. Born and raised in Vermont, she graduated from Milton High School and Jeanne Mance School of Nursing. She workedher entire life as a nurse, always giving and caring for others as well as raising 3 boys on her own, while working full time, after the death of her husband in 1967. After raising her 3 boys, she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1983, where she worked as a psychiatric nurse until her illness prevented her to do so. While there, she made many wonderful friends and created lasting memories. Bev was a member of the Council of Catholic Women at St. Raphael Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Red Hat Society. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Abentroth; her parents, Raymond and Ethel (Clary) Bovat; and her brother, “Sonny” Bovat. She is survived by her sons, Robert “Bob” Abentroth, Lloyd and his wife, Sherry Abentroth, Thomas “Tom” and his wife, Tina Abentroth; as well as 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Bev lived her life to the fullest with unending energy! She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends, and during baseball season, you would most likely find her watching and cheering on her ‘Rays”! Her contagious smile and adventurous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
