Obituary of Joseph Alan Curotto
Joseph Alan Curotto “Joe”, 57, of St. Petersburg passed away January 31, 2019 in the fight against pancreatic cancer. He was born on August 26, 1961 in St. Petersburg, FL to Ellen F Curotto and the late William J Curotto.
Joe was the definition of a native Floridian. Being on a boat, fishing or near the water is when he was happiest. He took pride in everything he did. Whether it was maintaining the grounds at the Bon-Aire, detailing cars and boats, cleaning pools, fixing anything and everything- it was all done to perfection. Those that knew Joey may have memories of him throwing you in the pool with all your clothes on, starting food fights at restaurants, blasting music in his truck, yelling at you for running around the pool, cooking elaborate fish dinners, going fishing for what you thought would just be a few hours, or simply sitting back with a Bud Light and a cigarette. He had a heart of gold that knew no limits and his legacy will live on through his two children.
Joe is survived by his daughter Caitlyn Curotto, and son Joseph D Curotto; his mother, Ellen Curotto; siblings Billy Curotto, Cathy Grace, Tony Curotto, and Missy Curotto; and his former spouse Jill Curotto.
Joe’s celebration of life will be on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 4-7pm at Casa Del Pane, 7110 Gulf Blvd, St. Pete Beach. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network under team CUROTTO.
