Obituary of Mary Ellen Martin Grose

Grose, Mary Ellen Martin, 92, of St.  Petersburg, Florida, passed away on March 27, 2019, at Northside Hospital.  She was born in Cumberland, Maryland, and lived in St. Petersburg, Florida, for 61 years.  She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and was the District IV Program Administrator of the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (ACHA) for Pinellas County and retired after 30 years of dedicated service.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening, tennis, music, and dancing.  She was a devoted and wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend, and she dearly loved being with her children, grandchildren, cousins, and friends.  Mary Ellen was loved by her family, was full of grace and wisdom, and respected and admired by everyone she met.   She was very caring, compassionate, and always genuinely concerned about others.  Her beautiful smile and sweet spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E Lee Martin, Jr., and Doris Irene Wagner Martin; her uncles, Torbet Martin and Millard Martin; her aunt, Jean Martin Greene; and her daughters, Deborah Anne (Debbie) Grose St. Cyr and Elizabeth Linn (Beth) Grose Baugh Thomson.  She is survived by her son, Michael (Mike) Martin Grose (Hatsuko); daughter, Amanda Lee (Mandi) Grose McCullers Lavin (Kevin); and son-in-law, David St. Cyr; her six grandchildren, Bethany Kizzie Baugh Norman (Matt), Jamie Leah Baugh, Keelan Cecil McCullers, Jared Taylor McCullers (Erica), Kara Lee McCullers (Ryan Osborn), and Kyler Martin McCullers; her three great-grandchildren, Jace Matthew Norman, Ensley Jayla Kaye McCullers and River Lee Osborn; cousins, Kristopher Martin Greene, Karen Greene Ojamaa, Norma Martin Milner, and Judy Martin Harter; as well as her long-time companion, Joseph (Joe) Bolton, and many caring friends.
