Obituary of Karen Clark

Karen Clark was a St. Petersburg native who grew up here and attended Lakewood Elementary School, Southside Junior High, and SPHS, completing her studies at SPJC.

After marrying her high school sweetheart, Jimmy, in 1965, they moved to Panama City and were there until health issues in the family brought them back to St. Pete to help run the family business.

Since Jimmy’s passing in 1995, she has enjoyed a social and adventurous life, traveling throughout the U.S. and exotic places as the fancy hit her. She has enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends at the Tierra Verde WC as well as being embraced by all the fresh friendly people at Westminster Shores where she had recently moved.

While she was taken to God suddenly and unexpectedly, she was active and doing things she wanted, right up to the end. For all of those who knew how much care and compassion she gave to Jimmy during his lifetime illness, the quick release was a blessing.
