Obituary of Gladys Alling

Gladys Leverne Alling, 77, of St. Petersburg passed away May 4, 2019 with her family and friends by her side. She was born to the late Lonnie E. Beard and Maggie L. Clark Beard on February 12, 1942 in Aiken, South Carolina. Gladys was married to the love of her life, Arthur Robert Alling for 60 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother that deeply loved her family. Gladys started as an electronic assembler working on the original Saturn rocket and later became a group leader at Raytheon and retired from there after 37 years of service.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Snyder. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Alling; daughter, Annette (Johnny) Santiago; son, Terry (Holly) Alling; grandchildren, James Racky, Joshua Soles, Caitlin Christensen, Abigail Alling, Hayley Snyder, Isabella Christensen, RJ Alling and Noah Santiago.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Anderson McQueen funeral home 2201 Dr MLK St N on Saturday, May 11 at 2pm followed by a memorial service at 3pm. All are welcome.
