Obituary of Bonnie Graham Kachel Thomas

Bonnie Graham Kachel Thomas, age 93, passed away on July 21, 2019. Bonnie was born in Winfield, Kansas to the late Virgil and Orpha (Jones) Graham. She was a Majorette in high school and graduated with her Bachelor’s in Business from Whitewater State College in Wisconsin as part of the class of 1944. She was also part of the Pheta Sigma Epsilon Sorority during her time in college. Bonnie married William Kachel on June 20, 1948 and together, they had three daughters and remained happily married until his passing. Outside of being a homemaker, she was an active member of Lakewood Methodist Church, also acting as a Circle Leader as part of the local United Methodist Women’s association. In her spare time, Bonnie loved to read, bowl, and knit. In 1999, she remarried to Warren Thomas until his passing. Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Susan Eidschun, Nancy Stewart, and Lorel Reinstrom (Gary); her grandchildren, Floyd Bennett, Jana Hester, John Eidschun, Keith Eidschun, Lindsey Reinstrom, and Loren Reinstrom; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Bennett, Dominic Bennett, and Avonlea Rose; as well as many loving friends. A Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27th at 2pm with a Funeral Service to immediately follow at 3pm, all at Anderson-McQueen Funeral home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street N, St. Petersburg. Interment will follow the services at Royal Palm Cemetery South.
