Obituary of Catherine S. Taylor
Catherine S. Taylor, 58, went home to Heaven on September 1st, 2019. She was battling a rare disease, Frontal Lobe Dementia ( FTD ) along with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ( ALS ). These two diseases combined, took her life faster than we, or anyone, could have expected. She was more than a mother and wife, she was the “cool mom” and the “most loving wife.” She was born in Illinois but later moved down to Florida, where she met her husband, James R. Taylor, working at Barnett Bank. Later on, she had three children, Natalie, Haley, and Samuel. Cate really lived a good life, she loved Jesus and followed Him in an exemplary way in which her children noticed. Along with loving Jesus, she
had a strong passion and motivation for working out. She was a “workout nut” and made a lot of friends along the way. Cate served as a motivation to others in her ability to create numerous personal friendships, be independent, never give up for what you believe in, and love others
above yourself. She was a loving woman, who loved her children and husband to the moon and back. It is heartbreaking to know she is no longer with us, but we know and take comfort that she is with Jesus in Heaven and no longer suffering. We are having a celebration of life for her at St. Raphel’s Catholic Church on Friday, September 6th, at 11am.
