I knew him as Mr. Carroll. He hired me at Med Tek when I was 18 years old in 1972.. While employed there, the company rewarded me with my first ever flight and cruise, I had my first child, I got divorced and later remarried. I grew up while employed there and Jim Carroll was like a dad. When I moved away in 1981, it was like leaving my family. Jim and I exchanged the occasional "catch up" phone call for a few years, then we just exchanged Christmas cards. We never missed one. We both looked forward to the little information we wrote in them. I'll miss those Christmas cards, and my friend Jim, and my wonderful boss, Mr. Carroll. Thank you Mary Ann for taking care of him these last 37 years. I so enjoyed seeing all the photo's. Many condolences....Pat (Deal) Hardy

I truly enjoyed my time and the many conversations I was fortunate enough to have with Jim. I enjoyed knowing him for over twenty years and will always cherish the memories. My thoughts are with his family at this time.

trying to explain Uncle Jimmy to her 2 grandsons Bronson & Wade,5 & 6 (Ohio) Lori (my #1 child) said that at the end of her explanation, Wade, her 6 year old said, with deep respect "He was a great man". He was! Close, not always in distance but forever in our heart. God has a sense of humor and wasn't it nice that Jim would meet his brother on his older brother's birthday? (And mother's too}. Mary Ann & All, Our prayers for days to come Love from The Morris Girls-Lori,(OH) Kim, (PA) Jaymie, (ME) Lorraine

As Jimmy's baby sister he always seemed to find a nickname for me..depending which picture he was viewing. Our cards and letters to each other always included a signature..stick figure matching. I was the youngest but I can remember many things that made him "Jimmy".!

From my perspective as one of his many nieces: While we didn't see one another very often, Uncle Jim -- Jimmy-- was a legend. Stories told by my grandmother--his mother-- stories told by my mother and aunts --his sisters. He was an institution. Droll wit, kind, generous and a good son, brother and uncle. A friend to my father and a beloved brother to my mother. To me an inspiration--yes truly. I already miss the thought that if I get ''down there'' to visit I won't see him. Condolences to Mary Ann, Jimmy Jr., Ronnie, Marcy and Renee. Love, your cousin Pat (Korver-Kicak)
