Obituary of Leo Normand Richard

Richard, Leo Normand, passed away peacefully at home December 30, 2019. Leo was born October 3, 1923 in Pawtucket, RI and he graduated from Harford Public High school   . Leo worked at Pratt and Whitney in the aerospace industry. Leo loved sports, he was an avid golfer and pool player. He joined the US Army Air Corps in November 1942, working in electronics with a focus in radio equipment and airplane radar. Leo served in North Africa, Europe and was honorably discharged in 1945 as a Sergeant. He continued his career in electronic work, repairing TVs and radar equipment in CT. in 1991 he retired and moved to Florida where he honed his pool playing skills. Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Ava Mare and Joseph Frederick Richard; sister, Dorothy Marie St. Cyr; brother, Dr. Robert Richard. Survived by his five siblings, Joseph Roger Richard, Eugenie Hemingway, Loraine Dieli, Joseph A. Richard and Bonnie Anne St. Jean. Leo’s memorial service will be Wednesday, 1/15 at 1pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery with military honors.
