Obituary of Stanley Anthony Sczurek

Stanley Anthony Sczurek, 86, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on Feb 2, 2020 at his home.  Stan was born in Meriden, Connecticut on Dec 1, 1933 to Stanley and Clara Sczurek.  He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years during the Korean War.  On June 13,1959 he married Sonia Angueira and they were married for 52 years until her death in 2011.

Stan was a Letter Carrier for 33 years, worked at Holy Family Catholic Church and City of Gulfport until his full retirement in 2012.

He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church Choir and served as a Eucharistic Minister.

He is survived by his son Alan Sczurek, daughter Linda Simons, son-in-law Charles Simons, grandsons Charlie Simons, Bradley Simons and Tyler Sczurek, great grandchildren Zaira Napolitano, Corinne and Eli Simons, sisters Frances Stoddard and Florence Danorovich.

Stan was a loving father and grandfather and kind to everyone he met.
