Obituary of Frances L Suggs

Suggs, Frances L "Giggles", 89, passed peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2020 in her sleep at Addington Place College Harbor in St. Petersburg, FL. Frances came to the USA from Grand Cayman Island in 1940's. She was married to the love of her life, James O. Suggs Sr, for 54 years who preceded her passing in 2009. Jimmy came to FL in the 1950's from Tabor City, NC.  Worked for Benton RC Haufman Construction Co (dredging), Bob Lee's and retired from Florida Brake & Clutch. Parents, John B. Henning and Sarah U. Barrell; brother, John Paul Henning and sister, Edna Bishop. Frances was a graduate of St. Pete High School and Homemaker. She was a beautiful, wonderful, devoted and loving mother that especially relished family time. Her and Jimmy enjoyed church, the outdoors, fishing, boating and gardening. Left to cherish her memory are their son, Kenneth D. Suggs (Annette); daughter, Sarah Jane Miller (Richard) owner of Sarah Jane Lawn Service; son, James O. Suggs Jr.; granddaughter, Ruth Ann Miller; grandson, Jason A. Miller (Samantha) all from St. Pete, FL; nephew, Ronnie Bishop (Louise) and many other family members.

In keeping with their desires, Frances' cremated remains are to be combined with Jimmy's. Interment will take place with military honors at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Date yet to be determined with celebration of life cookout. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be to Suncoast Hospice, St. Judes Kids for Cancer and a pet shelter of your choice.
