So sorry to here of Aunt Betty's passing. She was such a sweet person. One of the memories I have of her was how put together she always was. She always looked like a million dollars.

I just want to send my condolences to Sue and all the family. My heart goes out to all of you, knowing you will be missing your mother, grandmother and great-grandmother so very much. She loved talking abut you all and how much she cared for you all. She was truly a wonderful, sweet lady and my dear, sweet friend for 20 plus years. We enjoyed being together the 4 years she lived in Las Vegas at Bridge groups. She was my Marathon Bridge partner too. I cherished her friendship. We continued to talk on the phone after she moved to FL. Many friends in Las Vegas are missing Betty, from the Bridge players to the church people. She was truly a special lady. May she rest in peace.

Dear Don, Sue & Family. Just want to let you know that Betty was one of the sweetest neighbors I have ever had. I'm sorry I only got to visit once while she was living in Westminster and I really have no excuse except time seems to get away faster than we would like. She was truly a wonderful person and I am sure she will be missed by all who knew her.

Aunt Betty was my dad's sister. I have so many wonderful memories of times with my Aunt and Uncle, it is hard to recount just one. We spent many Thanksgivings together when I was growing up; gathering at Aunt Betty's house in Davenport, IA. I always enjoyed time with my cousin Sue, and a few years later, dinner discussions with her and her husband Curt. Aunt Betty and Uncle Don were the best hosts; they always had some sort of game for us kids to play and made sure to include food we all liked. Aunt Betty made Grandma's Oatmeal Cake that continues to be a favorite in our home. Uncle Don bought one of the original video games called "PONG" which we loved playing. In the last few years my husband and I would visit them in Florida and receive the same hospitable treatment. When Aunt Betty made us Grandma's Oatmeal Cake we were informed that it wasn't grandma's recipe, it was Aunt Betty's. No matter where it came from, it was always delicious!
My photo is blurry, but was taken by Uncle Don using his very cool Polaroid camera around 1967 in Davenport. Aunt Betty is on the left, my brother Joel, my mom and dad, and me holding their chihuahua; I think named Poncho.

Dear Sue and family,
This is Sue Forsyth Jensen ( Eloise and Max's daughter). Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. I have many fond memories of your mother. As a young girl I would go shopping with my mother and your mom. One of the days I remember the most is shopping in downtown Moline. Your mom was buying you items for going away to college. I remember her saying if she didn't slow down she would not be able to pay the Continental Bridge toll. I always admired how put together was mom was, her long painted finger nails, and perfectly done hair. Again, I am so sorry for you loss.
Sincerely,
Susan Forsyth Jensen
