Obituary of Irene Wojciak
Irene Wojciak, of St. Petersburg, FL went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2020. Irene was born in Poland and as a young, adventurous woman, came to the United States where she met and married her husband John. Irene was very passionate about cooking and feeding both body and soul of those around her. She was very kind and generous and would share her gifts and compassion with everyone. Irene was very active in the St. Paul’s Polish Mission Church and Polish Center. Irene was always inclusive in communication with her friends and family worldwide. Some would say she was the Facebook of her generation.
Irene joined her family in heaven which includes her parents, Roman and Helena Sikora; sisters Zofia Zięba and Wanda Roczniak; and brother Mieczysław Sikora. Irene is survived by her husband of 55 years, John; her children, Theresa and Dorothy (Mike); grandchildren, Rachel, Madison and Sabrina; two brothers, Marian and Andrzej and a beautifully large extended family.
Irene’s memorial Mass will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11am at St. Paul's Polish Mission Catholic Church, 1800 12th St. N. St. Petersburg, FL 33704 followed by an inurnment service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave N Clearwater, FL 33760.
