Obituary of Toby Lynne Staven

Toby Lynne Staven, age 43, of St. Petersburg, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 25, 2020. She was originally from Indiana and moved to St. Petersburg in 1993. Toby graduated from Dixie Hollins High School and attended technical school. She loved karaoke and expressing herself through photography. Toby was a devoted mother to her son, Sean. In addition to Sean, she is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Staven; parents, Roy and Helen Swanson of Pinellas Park; her sister Dawn Swanson of Michigan and brother Joe Cooke; nephew Ron Green of Michigan; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Toby was an amazing spirit and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A private Celebration of Toby’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations for Sean’s future education.
