Obituary of Betty Jane Bartelt

Betty Jane Bartelt, 93, of St Petersburg, FL, was joined again with her husband in Heaven on January 19, 2021.

BJ was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio to William and Minnie Mateja.

In 1971, BJ and her family came to FL, settling in St Petersburg for a while before relocating to Wildwood, where she remained until her husband’s passing in 2004.

BJ is preceded in passing by her husband of over 50 years, Milton Frederick Bartelt and her son, Carl Bartelt. She is survived by her son, Gary Bartelt (Kathleen) of St. Petersburg; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hamilton (Robert) of St. Petersburg, Frederick Bartelt (Christianne) of South Dakota, and William Bartelt of Hawaii. She is also survived by her 4 great-grandchildren, Amari, Aaric, Adair & Adelaide.
