Obituary of Rosella Lucas
Rosella "Rose" Lucas, 91, of St Petersburg, FL passed away on Jan 23, 2021 at Brookside Hospice from COVID-19. Before moving to Florida, Rose worked in Ohio in the auction business for 23 years and upon leaving that profession worked for the Lake County Sheriff in Ohio for 3 years, specializing in transporting women to prison from the County Jail. She left Ohio in July of 1977 and moved to Florida, where she went to work for Memorial Park Cemetery and Funeral Home in Sept 1977 as a Pre-Need and At-Need Counselor until 1984 when she became Assistant to the Director until retiring. She is predeceased by her husband Ted, her mother Dorothy Kratzer, her father Arthur Lewis, along with her brother, Donald and sister-in-law, Bess. Rose is survived by her daughter, Deborah Cole of St. Petersburg and nephew, Kevin Lewis of Painesville, Ohio.
Visitation will be held on February 10th, at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N, from 1PM-2PM, with committal service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery immediately after.
