Obituary of Louis M Cyr

Louis M. “Lou” Cyr, 84, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on March 15, 2021. Born in Fall River, MA to the late Louis A. and Loretta Cyr on November 25, 1936. Lou served his country in the United States National Guard. After retiring from the banking industry, Lou devoted himself as a Knight and volunteering at Holy Family Parrish. He directed tasks at St. Vincent De Paul. Louis was an avid fisherman and volunteer with youth sports. He enjoyed delivering meals on wheels with his grandchildren and teaching them life wisdom.  

 

Lou was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Maureen and his sister, Patricia. He is survived by eight children, Christopher (Brenda), Daniel (Patricia), Joseph, Tracy, Louis (Cheryl), Douglas (Heather), Timothy (Barbara) and Mack (Jamie); 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lou’s visitation will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 from 5-7pm at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710 with a funeral Mass on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 9am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 200 78th Ave NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33702 with his burial immediately following at Sunnyside Cemetery, 5300 19th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33714. All are welcome to attend.
