Obituary of Phil Kurtz

Kurtz, Harry Philip (Phil), 95, of St. Petersburg/Clearwater passed away on March 13, 2021 .  Born in Bradford County, Pennsylvania on February 12, 1926.  He was raised in St. Petersburg and graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1943. He attended Florida Southern College and graduated from University of Tampa.  He was an Army Paratrooper in the 13^th  Airborne  in World War II.   Phil retired from Florida National Bank and was very active in his community.  He loved working on his model trains and restoring old cars.  He was an avid bike rider. 

 Phil was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, June Kurtz.  He is survived by his daughter Diane K Hartley (Steve), and sons Richard P. Kurtz (Vickie) and Robert A. Kurtz (Sherry).  He is survived by 4 grandchildren; Julie H Ostoski, Amie K Harger, Robert P. Kurtz and Benjamin S. Kurtz as well as 3 great grandchildren; Elizabeth “Libby” Harger , Olivia Ostoski and Katlyn “Katie” Ostoski.. 

He will be interned at Bay Pines Veteran’s National Cemetery
