Obituary of Terry P Leger
Terry P. Leger passed away surrounded by family on June 18th, 2021. He graduated from Baker University and then moved to Florida. Terry practiced as a funeral director at various funeral homes in St. Petersburg. In 1980, Terry was introduced to Pat Beck and they fell in love and were married two years later.
Terry’s passion was Civil War Reenactment and he was a First Sergeant / Lieutenant of the 1st Minnesota Division for the Union. He also taught students at Largo High School about the Civil War during Student Day. Terry also educated visitors at Heritage Park about the war.
Terry was a devoted uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and loved all his fur babies as if they were his kids. His favorite pastimes included watching the History Channel and anything related to the military. Terry and Pat were big fans of Harry Potter, both the books and the movies.
Terry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pat; his sisters-in-law Pam Hash and Suzanne (Bud) Callison and brother-in-law Gordon (Tricia) Beck; several cousins around the country; and many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A visitation for Terry will take place at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, on Wednesday, June 23rd from 10-11am and will be followed by a service at 11am. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery following the service at 12:30pm.
