Obituary of Stefano Mineo

  ^{On Sunday, July 25th, 2021, Stefano Mineo a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 97 in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Stefano was born on January 18th, 1924, in Bagheria, Sicily to Antonino Mineo and Teresa Lamantia Mineo. After serving 18 months in the Sicilian Navy, he decided to move to Venezuela where he lived and worked as a carpenter at his own business for several years. In 1961 Stefano and his family moved to the United States becoming long time residents of Highland Falls, New York. It was here he worked as a Painter at the West Point Hotel Thayer as well as a Custodial Worker for the Highland Falls school system.}

  ^{In 1986 he retired and enjoyed travelling to both Sicily and Venezuela as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. He found great joy in working on his home and his garden and had a natural talent for construction. He was the type of man who was very protective of his family and was always there for them.}

  ^{Stefano was preceded in death by his mother Teresa Lamantia Mineo, his father Antonino Mineo, his first wife Elisabetta Greco, his brother Salvatore Mineo, his brother Vincenzo Mineo, sister Anna Disalvo, and daughter Teresa Mineo Ford. He is survived by his wife Clara Mineo, his son Antonino Mineo (Giuseppa), his son Salvatore Mineo (Colleen), his daughter Anna Maria peña (Jose), his daughter Elisabeth Fray (Larry) and his daughter Cristina Ferrera (Mario) as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.}
