Phil was a very independent, resourceful and loving individual whose smile would light up any room and person he entered or met. He was the first to look for adventure in all aspects of life and avidly participated in ocean swims, and every imaginable physical activity and competition he could find. His support and encouragement for all of his friends and family was what made him special. He loved music and dance, read avidly, learned something new every day, cherished animals especially his dog Leroy, was magical around children, and above all loved his family who he spoke with every day. In addition to all of his activities and friends Phil was a gifted physician who had a passion for relieving the pain and suffering of others. As a physician he delivered the highest quality care to his patients and taught other physicians the gifts of his talents in interventional pain procedures. He always offered his love and genuine persona to all he met and his captivating smile, kind words, and unique laugh all served to mesmerize all he met and will for always define his kind and true spirit.
