Today's service was a lovely tribute to a wonderful man. Seeing his grandchildren all together was especially meaningful. We all know that made him smile! My family and I are thankful for having the opportunity to know Poppy (to know him was to love him). His love of God, family, friends, and sports was evident to us all. The many hours we spent together at the baseball field are proof of that. Our lives are better for knowing him. My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Boulanger, Edward, Todd, Donald, and Chris. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
With love,
Deanna, Jacob, and Riley

To “Hunkle Bunny”. Your sense of humor and laughter was legendary and I imagine that will be one of the things that is missed the most. Aunty Bev, Ed, Todd, Don and Chris- you were so blessed to have had him as your husband and dad. I felt blessed to have him as an uncle. I have so many fond memories of Uncle Bud and they always included laughter. May he Rest In Peace. Love to you all.

There are so many men that would not be who they are today without Mr. B and the Boulanger Family.
I am so grateful for all the love, care and guidance he provided over the course of my childhood and young adulthood. He made indelible memories in my life through Bunker Hill, Blessed Sacrament and St. Margaret's.
He was a coach, a mentor, pillar of joy and grace and the father figure that I strive to be. Words cannot express how saddened I am nor how honored I am to have been in his presence. It is only through living out the version of man he trained me to be over so many years that I will pay the debt of kindness he always bestowed. I know my mother would have also shared a tremendous amount of gratitude to Mr. B for helping to build the man I am today.
Sending my love to the Boulangers. If I can be of any support, do not ever hesitate to reach out to the Garry's east or west coast. With Love, John Garry

Ed Boulanger, a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, coach, mentor to endless young men and women and a friend. To me and many others, he was kind, empathetic, patient, full of joy and love, faith in himself, the church and others. I was blessed to watch with such admiration, his ability to instill in his players, confidence, perseverance and the love of the game. With his good friend, Harold "Zac" Zaccagnini, Ed inspired me to be the best coach, father, papa and teacher. Ed was a neighbor and a friend that I will continue to admire with such fond memories. I'm sure that he and Zac have met at the gates of heaven, found a bench and are talking about the wonderful moments they both lived on and off the diamond and court. Ed Boulanger was a legend; he will be missed by his loving family and those who loved and respected him. To the Boulanger children, that I had the pleasure of coaching and calling them my players and friends, you certainly were blessed by his inspiration and endless love. To his loving wife, who was willing to give up her time with her husband Ed "the Legend" to follow his passion of coaching, may your future be blessed with all your fond memories of a man who was loved by all of those who knew him. The Behr family sends their love and daily prayers for a man who brought smiles to everyone whose lives Ed Boulanger touched.

Mr. Behr, what a beautiful tribute to our dad. We always felt lucky to have him as our dad and for my mom, her partner for 53 years. Your dedication to kids and mentoring , like our dads, will be hard to emulate and words like these are so meaningful coming from you, someone he admired and respected. Love Bev, Ed, Todd, Don and Chris.

Mr. “B” was our friend for 55 years. He was more than a friend. The Boulanger’s were more like family to us. Over the years we shared weddings, births, parties vacations and all of life’s up and downs with them. The last 20 years were very hard for Ed and Bev but they always had a smile on their faces when you met them. The world has lost a very special person.
Condolences to Beverly (Bev) and the Boulanger families. We are at a loss for words. Fondly and with love to all.

Aunt Judy and Uncle Wally, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Ed. He cherished his relationship with you both and valued any time he spent with you, as we all did/do. You are right , he did always smile no matter the difficulties. Friendships like yours , I believe, is what he drew on to smile and keep moving forward. Hugs to you both- Love Beverly, Eddie, Todd, Don , and Chris.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Ed Boulanger. In Wolcott during the early 70’s, baseball was the sport every kid wanted to play and everyone in our neighborhood wanted to play for the Dodgers and Ed. Ed’s teams took on his personality. We were the most fundamentally sound team in the league. We practiced often and played to win. Ed’s enthusiasm and passion for coaching was contagious. Never heard him criticize a player after a bad play. Ed always encouraged us to do our best. Having fun was a number one priority. He was a great role model for us all.
Condolences to Ed’s family. I’m sure you all know better than anyone what a great guy he was.

We draw on those times/experiences in many different facets of life. You are right he was a great role model for us, too. . With gratitude and love Thanks for sharing these memories. This is what helps us in our time of loss. Thank you!

My name is Scott Erickson. Mr. Boulanger was my little league coach in Wolcott when I was 11 years old (55 now). He coached our team, the Dodgers, to the "A League" Championship. Attached is the team photo that appeared in the Waterbury Republican American (1977).

Scott , I can't thank you enough for reaching out to us and sharing your thoughts and pictures. Wolcott Little League and your team had a special place in Ed's heart and ours. It was avery special place to all of us. We would often talk about those days and teams and your antics- not sure it was you or your brother(LOL). Your team was something. Your taking time to reach out to us is so meaningful. Thank You!!!!
