Obituary of Rufina Guerra

Rufina Guerra, 92, of Pinellas Park, FL, went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2021.

Born Schweinfurt, Germany, she early on braved the war with courage and never let it beat her down. Rufina was a strong woman defiant to those who wanted to take her freedom away. Leaving her home country behind, she became an American citizen who loved her country deeply.

Rufina is preceded in passing by her husband, John Guerra. And is survived by her 3 children, Charlotte Stieler, Florence Guerra, Diana (John) Sutton; her grandchildren, Danny Lopilato, Naomie Stieler, Jennifer Turner, Joshua (Donna) Stieler, Lucretia (Scott) Hommel, Jennifer Franklyn, Matthew Pare; Great Granddaughters:  Morgan Boldish, Gabriella Hommel, Isabella Vizcaino; Great Grandsons: Christian Boldish, Ian, Geovanni and Julius Vizcaino, Scotty Hommel; Great-great grandson: Ryder Badwell, Jacob and Jackson Stieler, Grayson Turner, Noah and Elijah Pare and Destin Stieler; and Great-great granddaughters: Harlyn Stieler and Ada Rufina Stieler

Rufina was also a woman of prayer, who always stood true to the Lord, her family and her countryHer heart's desire was to see her Lord Jesus, face to face, which she longed for until her last breath. She was well read and loved her church. Rufina was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of coming into her life and even those who just passed throughShe was a fighter and was very strong, outliving both her brothers and sister.

Rufina wasn’t just beloved, but also loved deeply, she loved her children and grandchildren with every inch of her being. She loved spending time with her family and made her whole family proud to call her “My Wife”, “Mom” or “Oma”.  Rufina sacrificed so much for her family, exemplifying what a mother and wife was created to be, while maintaining herself as the perfect homemaker and a true woman of class. Her children and grandchildren adored her, and she is and will continue to be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Rufina's name to Suncoast Hospice Empath Health.
