Obituary of Carol Moore Teat

Teat, Carol Ellen Moore, 84, of St. Petersburg passed away September 30, 2021 at Bon Secours Maria Manor. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her Husband; Robert H. Teat, “Bob”, her parents, Frank and Ulyss Moore; and her siblings Frank Moore Jr “Bud”, Mary Jackson “Sis”, Jean Richmond and Nancy Jones. Carol is survived by her daughter Jeanie Runkle her husband Jeff Runkle and step daughters Linda Manning and Tammi Hopson. Step son, Michael Teat his wife Debbie Teat; grandchildren Ami Minear, Tiffani Minear, Jeni Runkle, Jeffrey Runkle and Shelby Teat; great-grandchild Kaila Melendez, and a host of Nieces and Nephews. Carol and her Husband Frank and family moved to St, Petersburg, FL. in 1963 to start a new life away from the cold winters in Indianapolis. She enjoyed the Stock market and started working for Raymond James and continuing her career she moved on to other securities companies. After Carol and Frank were Divorced, she ending up at Dean Witter Reynolds, where she found her soul mate Robert Teat. Carol loved going home to Indiana to see her family and always planed a trip so she and Robert could go to the Indianapolis 500, it was an event they cherished for over 30 years. Carol was an active member of Kiwanis and supported her husband during his time in office. After for numerous years she then worked at Publix where she spent many years meeting, greeting and making new friends. Leaving Publix was hard to do however in her 70’s, it was time to start her long awaited retirement. During this time is when she spent many wonderful days with her one and only great grandchild Kaila, a bond she treasured for the rest of her life. She was a very independent, resourceful individual. Her smile and charming spirit and spicy, and feisty attitude will be remembered by all who knew her. Carol’s memorial service will be Saturday, October 23, 2021 10am at Anderson McQueen 2201 DR MLK ST N.
