Obituary of Eileen Maloney

Eileen Maloney, 61, of St. Petersburg passed away on December 15, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. Born Perth Amboy, NJ and raised both there and Simsbury, CT, Eileen moved to St. Petersburg in 1971 where she graduated from Northeast High School. She then went on to attend the University of Florida. Eileen worked for the St. Petersburg Times for 15 years and then went to work for 14 years at the St. Petersburg Police Department where she retired as Supervisor for the Emergency Communications Department.  

Eileen is survived by her life partner, Dale Kleine; son, Gray Maloney; parents, Jack and Fran Maloney; brother, Joseph Maloney; aunt, Dorothy Marsh; many loving cousins and seven fur babies. 

Eileen found the most joy spending time with family and friends. She was an avid Gators, Florida State  and Notre Dame fan. She will be dearly missed by her family and many, many friends. 

There will be a memorial Mass held at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 9am. All are welcome to attend. There will also be a celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pet Pal rescue at https://petpalanimalshelter.com/donate/
