Phil was my best friend in high school, and always a hit with the ladies! We double dated many times. Last time I saw him, when he returned home, after being wounded in Vietnam. Rest in peace, my friend. Hank Quagenti

Phil, Jr. and Brandon, we were shocked and devastated to learn of you father's passing. As you know Dorothy & I were close friends with your father for almost 60 years. We grew up together in Revere and first met at around 14 when he was a member of a band that played at CYO dances and they were actually pretty good. In our later teens we worked together at a service station that my family owned and practically ran the place on weekends. Your Dad was handy and a pretty good mechanic. His love affair with cars began at that time with a 1967 GTO that he owned and later a Corvette. We remained close friends through his service in Vietnam and were all very proud but not at all surprised when he returned with numerous honors and decorations for heroism. There are to many good times over the years to mention here but we have fond memories of our teenage and early adult years and then spending time with Phil in Aruba, at his various homes in Florida, NH and Boxford, and having dinner at great restaurants. Phil loved good food and, of course, before dinner cocktails were a must. We cherished your father's friendship. We hadn't seen your dad as much as we would have liked over the past few years but we always stayed in touch by phone or text. Your father and I used to joke that even if we hadn't seen each other in some time, when we got together we picked things up right where we left off. Your father was a kind and generous friend but I know that he was an even better father and grandfather who loved his family very much. We are so very sorry that circumstances prevent us from being at today's end of life celebration but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. RIP, Phil. You were a wonderful friend and will be greatly missed but not forgotten. Dorothy & Michael Iudice

We are heartbroken to hear of this terrible loss of Phil, and send our love and sympathy to his family, and his many friends.
We met Phil at Danversport Yacht Club, back in the 80's. He was part of a great group that we traveled with on our boats, up and down the New England coast, and we all remained lifelong friends. "It's the laughter we will remember..."
We have made a donation to the Vietnam Veterans Workshop in Boston, in memory of Phil. We will be unable to attend the memorial service for him, as we will be back in MA at that time .
Our thoughts are with you all.

Phil was such a wonderful human being…he will be missed so incredibly. I remember the first time that Jon and I really met Phil…it was at his beautiful ski house in Glen, NH. He was an amazing host…fantastic host and weekend. He was a true Italian with quite a spread…endearing to Jon especially . From there it was all bliss between Jon and Phil and our families.
He was an incredibly generous and loyal friend…too many memories to call out just one. His love of us as friends paled in comparison to how he felt of his children and grandson Blake. He was so proud of them and prioritized them. The last few years and weeks of his life were fulfilled by his boys prioritizing and caring for him in a way that he cared for them and so many in his life.
His service to our country is something that stands out as I think of Phil and his character. He was a hero and shared his stories with great humility…but he saved and honored many of his colleagues.
I will forever cherish our amazing times as best friends. Rest In Peace Phil ..:.we love you
