Rest in Peace and Tranquility with the Lord. Everyone who ever met Dick Freeburg will miss him and his sincere and caring ways. Sincerest sympathy from Suzanne and Kent Butterfield in Vermont.

My deepest sympathy to the whole Freeburg family. Uncle Dick was so kind to me. I remember when he visited Grandma and Grandpa Ellberg´s he drove me to a store to buy a football. He simply wanted to play catch with his nephew. It was always exciting for a young boy to learn that your relatives from "out East" were visiting. From time to time, he also emailed me with up to date genealogy info on both Grandparents. As an adult now, looking back, those moments mean a lot. He will be missed. May the fond memories of him provide comfort at this difficult time.

Dick got me a coveted job running orders at the Merc one summer of high school. Very cool, cousin!
Was instructive on my own background and ancestry.
Shared American thoughts via email.
Just learned from Cheryl that you were together since you were 13 years old. Amazing. Merged souls.
Maggie, Wes and Mike (remember kids, you first saw snow in Des Moines at my house!), Peace to you all.
I'll be checking for a service and hope to see you there.
