Obituary of Michaelena Marie Jolin

Michaelena Marie Jolin, “Miki”, 84, of Brooksville, FL passed peacefully surrounded by her family on April 22, 2022 at Citrus Hospice House. She was born in Lewistown PA, raised in Altoona PA, graduated from Altoona High School and after raising her family, earned her Associate Degree in Business at Allegheny Community College.

Miki worked in retail sales, the travel business, member services at Bay Pines Federal Credit Union and the REALTOR® Store at St. Petersburg Suncoast Association of REALTORS®. She moved from St. Petersburg to Brooksville in 2012.

She was an avid bowler at the Seminole Lanes and Strike City when she moved to Brooksville. Her many interests included “pieced” quilting, Agatha Christie mysteries, vampire books, and Broadway soundtracks. She enjoyed rodeo Bull Riding, Las Vegas, chai tea, the color purple, mini dachshunds and animal planet shows. She was a devoted Tampa Bay Rays baseball fan and kept up on all the MLB players.

She had a keen sense of humor. Her wit was razor sharp and she was known to surprise all and make everyone laugh. She always had a smile and a joke ready. She taught us all that we could do anything once we set our minds to it. She will be missed by all, she was one of a kind, and to have her as a friend and loved by her was truly a gift.

Miki was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Joseph Jolin; her son Joseph R. Ulsh; and her parents Lena and James Loudenslager. She is survived by her sister Karen Soisson; children Christine Hyatt, Diane Haynes and Thomas Ulsh; grandchildren Travis Haynes, Jeremy Ulsh, Joseph “Joey” Ulsh and Chloe Taylor; great grandchildren Brianna, TJ, Hayden, Jameson, Addilynn, and Liam; great-great granddaughter Lilliana.
