Pauline C. Harrison

June 23, 1933- June 9, 2022

Pauline C. Harrison of Covington, Virginia passed away on June 9, 2022, in St. Petersburg, Fl. She was born in Albemarle County, Virginia as Nannie Pauline Carver to Louvene Nichols and Herbert T. Carver. Her family moved to Covington where she met and married H.L. “Bunny” Harrison in April of 1952. The loves of her life were their three children, Nancy (Sparky), Cindy, and Allen.

Pauline was gracious, patient, affectionate, kind, funny and graceful with exquisite taste. She instilled a strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty in her children and those that worked with her. Her love of sewing from a young age led to her success as a master seamstress. Pauline shared her passion with others teaching them how to sew as early as sixteen. Her career began as a sewing operator at Jane Colby in Clifton Forge then became a supervisor. Followed by a career at Halmode in Covington where she quickly advanced from a seamstress to supervisor to plant manager.

Although retiring at the plant closing, she did not retire from life. Her passion led to her creating sewn works for friends and family members well into her retirement. She assisted her son, Allen, in his business for many years.

Her favorite things were sewing, milkshakes, shopping, decorating for all occasions, spending time with friends, and above all her faith in God. Pauline was an avid member of the First Christian Church in Covington Virginia for over 70 years. She was a member of the B-About Circle in the church whose purpose was to serve others. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi.

Pauline’s love for her family was paramount. She raised her children to work hard, love family and love God. She was so proud of each of her children, their families, and grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband H.L. “Bunny “Harrison, her brother Tommy Carver and his wife Connie Carver, her mother Louvene Carver and father Herbert T. Carver, lifelong friends and family Betty Lou Lockard, sister-in-law Arlene Harrison, and many others.
