Obituary of Raymunda P. Bizares
Raymunda Padilla Bizares of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on August 10, 2022, at the age of 87, with her loving family by her side.
Remy was born in San Jose, Nueva Ecija, Philippines on January 23, 1935 to Toribia (Villanueva) and Epifanio Padilla. She graduated from the Binondo School of Maternity and Midwifery in 1958. She was married to Paulino E. Bizares, a US Navy, on May 2, 1959. After a very short career in midwifery, she joined her husband in 1971 who was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where they raised their family for 2 years until his retirement. They then relocated to Oakland, CA briefly and then back to the Philippines for several years.
Remy has been a resident of St. Petersburg, FL and active member of the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle since 1983. She loved to cook and travel, but her greatest pleasure was going to mass daily and being surrounded by her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her five children, Ramon, Ben, Edwin, Pat (Phrasavath) and Sheila (Howard); daughter-in-law Alma Bizares; son-in-law Willie Howard; granddaughters Alexis Stephen (David Stephen) , AJ (Kawika), Amanda and Sarah; and many, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on August 18, 2022 at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Bay Pines National Cemetery from 12:30 – 1:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to the reception at Anderson McQueen Funeral Homes at 7820 38th Ave N, St. Petersburg at 1:30 pm.
