Obituary of Wanda Alice Elizabeth Tenaglia

Wanda Alice Elizabeth Tenaglia, age 68 of Tellico Plains, TN (formerly of St. Petersburg, FL). Our dear beautiful mother is no longer of this earth, but in the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Frederick and Virginia Newell and brother, Frederick “Ricky” Newell, Jr. 

She is survived by her loving children, Marilyn Johnson, William Jolley, Jr. and his wife, Rachel; and Stephen Jolley and his wife, Jamie.  Her beloved siblings, David and Kimberly Newell, Carolyn and Robert Timpe, Rebecca and Joseph Bowman, Daniel and Karen Newell, and Mark Newell.  Wanda has seven beautiful grandchildren whom she loved with all of her heart; Shane and Brenden Johnson, Alexis, Emily and Zoey Jolley, Lillian and Evelyn Jolley. 

Wanda loved the Lord, enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and housing foreign exchange students from all over the world.  She moved to Tennessee and met a great group of friends.  They gathered every week to play dominos, knit, arts and crafts, cook/bake, enjoyed having meals together, and finding new adventures.  Wanda loved to entertain and enjoyed volunteering at the Welcome Center.  She loved her community in Coker Creek very much.  Wanda was an amazing mother, sister, daughter and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew her. 

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church 215 Southard Street in Tellico Plains on Thursday, September 15 at 5:00 pm with Rev. Bill Clark officiating. The family will have an additional memorial service for her loved ones here in Florida at Anderson McQueen's - Tyrone Chapel on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 at 2:00pm.
