Obituary of Jeffrey Allen Murphy
Jeff A. Murphy, age 54 of Saint Petersburg, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1967, to Katherine (Mick) and the late Marty Murphy in Marion, Ohio.
Jeff worked hard to overcome his deafness and graduated from St. Rita’s School for the Deaf in Cincinnati. He worked as a pool installer for Latham Corporation for 16 years, a job he truly enjoyed, and he was known to have a knack for installing mosaic pool liners. He loved bowling, golf, and his family.
He is survived by his mother Katherine “Kathy” Griffith; his siblings Bill (Mickey) Griffith, Sue (Rick) Knotts, Rodney (Lita) Griffith, and Nancy (Brad) Simpkins; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father Marty Murphy; his stepfather Ron Griffith; his brother Scott Murphy; and his grandparents Norris and Lucille Johnson, Cecil and Winnie Griffith, and Dr. Daniel and Roseanne Murphy.
Services will be held here in St. Petersburg, Florida, along with in his home town of Marion, Ohio.
Calling hours will be held at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, Florida on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.

Services in Marion, Ohio will be held at Boyd Funeral Home. Calling hours will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held the following morning on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:00am.
