Obituary of Janina Przepierzynski
Janina Przepierzynski "Nina,” 88 years old of St. Petersburg passed away September 25, 2022 at Center Mid-Pinellas Hospice House. Born and raised in Warsaw, Poland, she came to the United States in 1961 with her husband Eligiusz to Brooklyn, New York. She worked as a bookkeeper for Chemical Bank, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband in St. Petersburg in 2002. Janina is survived by her three children, Lucy, Christina and Andrew; her brother Ryszard in Poznan, Poland.Grandchildren Victor, Leon, Michelle, Austin, Alex and Monica; great-grandchildren Amelia and Makario.
Janina and her husband moved to St. Petersburg in November of 1972 as proud owners of Silver Star Motel. They owned and operated the motel until 1985.
Janina pursued a career in real estate and worked for Prudential Gower Realty until she retired around 2000. Her beautiful smile and charming spirit will be remembered by all the organizations she belonged to: Polish American Society, Mercy of God Polish Mission, Polonia Inc., Polish Center of John Paul II, and a Red Cross volunteer for many years. Janina had a very special person in her life, "Elzbieta,” who was her personal caregiver for over 10 years, as she was diagnosed with dementia and could not live alone. Her well being was all dedicated to this wonderful, heartwarming special lady.
Janina's memorial service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home - 2201 Dr. MLK Street North, St. Petersburg. Viewing will be from 4-7 PM. Friday, October 7 will be a mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church - 1800 12th Street North, St. Petersburg at 10:00 AM followed by a burial at Catholic Calvary Cemetery- 5233- 118th Avenue North, Clearwater.
