My mother (Mary Elizabeth 'Betty' Erikson) worked for Doug 's father (George Ambrose Nicholson) at the Dairy Queen in Coral Gables from 1955 to 1959. My mother, sister, and I lived with the Nicholson family from 1956 to 1958. I have very fond memories of James Douglas Nicholson, his siblings, his parents, and his grandmother. Doug's sister Pamela was my mother's bridesmaid in November 1959 when she married my stepfather (William Jack Wilson).
