I worked with Ann for many years. I don't think there was a moment I can think of that ann wasn't a warm and considerate individual. I wish there were more people like ann out there, unfortunately she was a rare, precious type that gave you faith that people are inherently kind

I had the pleasure of meeting Ann a few times when she came to Virginia to see her daughter Emily. Emily and I met when I was helping her soon to be fiance Eric purchase a home in Alexandria in 2015. She reminded me so much of my daughter Hannah, and I took every opportunity to keep her in my life. Which was very easy as she reciprocated so well. Emily talked a lot about her mom, so I felt I knew her before we even met. This photo was from a girls lunch in 2018. She was absolutely lovely and I could have hung with her all day. The love her daughters, husband and even furry friends had for her is so evident in this beautiful tribute to her life. Ann and I were married the same year and are the same age, with two adult children. Through my tears and heartache for you all, I want you to know that you have honored a mother and wife in a way that any woman could only wish for. She was very blessed, which I'm sure she knew. I pray your memories of her will always give you comfort that you made her life wonderful. Love, Jenny McClintock

I had the privilege of being Ann's friend, meeting her after Emily moved into our neighborhood. Everything I heard at the memorial service was my experience of knowing her. So much energy, positivity, love for her family and of life. I remember one of the first conversations we had and I asked her the typical question - "What do you do". I remember her saying so proudly that she was a mom and stayed home. It would be impossible to be around her and not know how supremely smart she was, but until I saw Jim's email I never knew she was an engineer. Of course she was! But who she was and what she cared about was her family. I remember one conversation we had about our spouses and she talked about how much she loved Jim. And when Fischer was born how excited she was. And Laura's wedding and how happy she was for that.
How lucky you all were to have each other and how lucky we were to have her. Every time I see a golden I think of her, and will. Much love. Janet

She is heaven surrounded by all those lovely pups that left before her. I am not crying. It is just raining on my face. Loved the video. Sending peace, love and light - three things that Ann left for us that emanated from her body without her even trying.

I knew Ann from crossfit for the short period of time I was there.I remember being so shocked at her strength and speed and I remember our mutual love for golden retrievers. She always had a beautiful smile on her face. I am heartbroken to hear of her cancer diagnosis and her passing. She is truly a beautiful soul. Earth lost a wonderful person; heaven gained a true angel with a smile that could light up a room.
My prayers and condolences to her husband, Jim and her entire family and friends.
Looking at her slideshow I can see what an amazing life she had.

It has been a pleasure having Ann as a friend since she and Jim moved to St Petersburg and she joined the Master Swimming. Ann always brought interesting stories and funny observations to our "apres swim" gatherings at Panera or during Covid to our outdoor socials. It is clear that Ann was very proud of and loved her husband and family immensely. Ann had an incredible zest for life and enjoyment: people, art, nature, exercise and laughing. Oh yeah, and Goldens! I also consider her a roll model regarding concern for the environment. Such a heavy loss, she will be deeply missed.

I met Ann back in the early 80's before she & Jim got married. She was such a delightful woman. Always greeted me like I was some long lost friend. She'd say "we're glad that you're here" and it always made me feel like a million bucks. I'm glad Jim got to feel that way every day for 40 plus years. I've known Jim since 1975 and the three of us were all born 3 months apart so this news really hits home. Rest in Peace Ann. Some day they'll be a Cure For Pain...

Ann was an absolute joy to know. Always smiling. We would row together during crossfit (11x), complain together then agree that we loved every exhausting minute. Rest in peace Ann.
