Obituary of Lynn E. Maxwell Jr.
Lynn “Gene” Maxwell Jr, 66, of Saint Petersburg, Florida, passed away at his home on October 25th 2022, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born to parents Lynn Eugene Maxwell Sr and Doris McTeer Maxwell on February 6, 1956 in Winter Haven, Florida. Gene and his family moved to Saint Petersburg where he graduated from Northeast High School in 1974 and enrolled in the United States Navy actively serving onboard submarines from 1975-1979. After being honorably discharged, Gene established multiple successful businesses throughout the years.
Gene known by most as Sr. Dom or Ace, was a dedicated family man. When he was not with his family, Sr. Dom was staying active on the water fishing, at a softball field with his friends (dominating), riding dirt-bikes and motorcycles or paramotoring. Gene loved traveling and making memories whether that was ski-trips or lobstering in the Keys with family. He was a legend with his own vocabulary and loved talking sports or sharing stories that would always leave you laughing. He was the true definition of “all world”.
Gene is preceded in death by his father Lynn Maxwell Sr. and is survived by his mother Doris; son Gene Maxwell and daughter Jenna Campbell (Brian); grandchildren Blake & Julia Campbell; brother Greg Maxwell (Kelli) and sister Cynthia Cardwell along with his nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Liberty Baptist Church. The visitation/viewing will take place from 12:00-2:00pm followed by the service beginning at 2:00pm.
