Febe Dwyer

Obituary of Febe Dwyer

Febe Dwyer, beloved mother, wife, sister and grandmother began her everlasting celebration in the loving Company of her Lord on November 6, 2022

Preceded by her husband of over 40 years, she is survived by a loving legacy of children, grandchildren and siblings. That legacy includes her son Jeff Dwyer of New Jersey, Shane Shelton (née Dwyer) of Florida, John C Dwyer of California, sisters Barbara Ettli of New York, Jean Ettli of Texas and grandchildren Ian Dwyer, Alison Shelton, Keilani Shelton and Xavier Shelton.

Born July 4, 1935, to Adolf and Maria Ettli (née Fillet), Mrs. Dwyer began her exciting life journey on the opposite side of the world in Indonesia.  A survivor of internment during the Second World War, Mrs. Dwyer would proudly become an American citizen on September 1, 1965.  In her youth, and at a time unique for women, she could be found  skydiving from airplanes in her quest for adventure. She would later marry and make New Jersey her home for over 50 years while raising her family with her husband John. She was a life-long supporter of hockey and, for many years, was a fixture at Philadelphia Flyers games with her son Jeff.  She was also a life-long lover and advocate for the welfare of animals and kept many throughout her life.

In 2021, Febe began a new and final chapter of her life in the company of her daughter and grandchildren in Florida before joining her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The family will hold a celebration of her life at Anderson McQueen on Saturday, November 12, 2022 beginning at 1:00PM EST.
