Obituary of Dennis Joseph Ostromecky

Dennis Ostromecky of St. Petersburg Florida died unexpectedly but peacefully at home on November 21, 2022. Dennis was 68 years old, born on August 17, 1954 in Worcester Massachusetts. Dennis attended catholic school and vocational trade high school in Worcester Massachusetts. Upon graduating trade school, Dennis enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served proudly for six years as a machinist on the USS Davis. He then went on to enlist in the United States Army for four years as a reservist. During his time in the service, he would send his earnings back home to mom and dad to help pay the bills. He was a very thoughtful son.

Dennis was preceded by his Father, Frank Ostromecky, his Mother Pearl Ostromecky and his oldest Son, Dennis Ostromecky Jr.

Dennis is survived by his sister, Linda McCarthy of MA, brother, Michael Ostromecky of St. Petersburg and son Mathieu Ostromecky of St. Petersburg, also 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

Dennis had a strong catholic faith. He was very spiritual and loved his God. Once his Muscular Dystrophy had progressed and he was no longer as mobile, he requested communion be brought to his home each week from St Jude’s.

Dennis for many years always loved to entertain, barbecuing and cooking for others. He was a very social guy! Dennis always enjoyed listening to good rock music and he especially loved the Beatles. He always had a smile on his face. He always loved to laugh, joke, prank and make funny faces. His humor could be a bit sarcastic at times and he had an extremely quick wit. Dennis was also an avid sports fan. He loved his Rays and Buccaneers.

Dennis was a very kind soul, he was overly generous and would give his last few pennies to help someone in need.

Dennis was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
