Obituary of Richard Edward Richardson

Richardson, Richard (Dick) Edward, 95, passed away December 16, 2022 at Addington Place College Harbor, St. Petersburg, FL. Born in St. Petersburg and raised in Tampa he graduated from Hillsborough High School. He was proceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Pat) Fogarty, and is survived by his two daughters, Diane Richardson of St. Petersburg, and Kathy Vargas of Hawaii. Kathy's two grown daughters are Noelani Vargas and Kela Queen, also of Hawaii. Richard was a Navy CB and served in Japan in WWII. After the war he became a draftsman and always enjoyed construction projects working with his hands and could fix anything around the house. He taught both daughters how to saw a board, hammer a nail, and bait and cast a fishing line. Richard was very active as usher, Sunday School teacher, board member and reader in the First Church of Christ, Scientist, St. Petersburg. He also loved local history and was an active member in the Pinellas Pioneer Settlement. He had a warm smile for everyone and would go out of his way to help you. Richard's celebration of life will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:00 am at Anderson-McQueen 2201 Dr MLK Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33704
