Karekin Sahagian

Obituary of Karekin Sahagian

Karekin Sahagian III, 57, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away February 27, 2023 in St Pete, Florida. Karekin (Kay) was born on July 10, 1965 in Huntington, New York to Karekin Sahagian II and Vivi Curt.

Kay was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend.  He graduated from the University at Albany with a BSBA in Finance and also received his MBA from the University of Florida.  Kay enjoyed a lengthy and successful career in a field that he loved - Finance.  His final role was VP of Financial Planning and Analysis at WellDyne, located in Lakeland, FL.  Outside of work, Kay had many hobbies that he enjoyed, including music, biking, kayaking, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.  Above all, his passion was music.  His eclectic tastes allowed him to enjoy music from many different genres, and enjoy it he did!  His collection of music and instruments was vast, and he enjoyed nothing better than playing guitar with his friends and band members.   Beyond music, he continued to love learning and reading about history, politics, and current events.  He was quick of wit, always making us laugh, and generous to a fault.  His sudden and unexpected departure will leave an irreplaceable place in our hearts.

Kay is survived by:

His mother, Vivi Curt, his sons Karekin (Kay) Sahagian IV and Christopher Sahagian, his brother Erik Sahagian, sister-in-law Mary Ann Sahagian, niece Jennifer Sahagian, nephew Thomas Sahagian, and his golden retriever Moose.
