Diana Sayegh

Obituary of Diana Sayegh

Diana J. Sayegh, 77, died Monday, February 27, 2023 peacefully at her home in St Petersburg, Fl.

She was born in Brooklyn NY to John and Kay Joseph where she grew up alongside her brother Lou in the community of Cobble Hill. It is there where she would meet her husband George who lived just a block away. George and Diana had a wonderful life together raising their daughter Jackie and son George Anthony.

She worked many years in NYC in the financial sector before eventually retiring with George to their beloved home in Sayville N.Y. the place of countless gatherings of friends and family over many years and eventually moving to St Petersburg to rest in its beautiful sunshine.

She was known as an excellent cook, a great gardener and was an avid reader. She loved to travel with her husband George often with their dear friends by their side. However, what gave Diana the most joy was to host her dear friends and family at her home where she could make the simplest of gatherings an event that you would always remember.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents John and Kay, her brother Lou, her daughter Jackie and her husband George. She is survived by her son George Anthony, daughter in law Debbie and granddaughter Sophia.

She was loved by so many people and will be greatly missed.

Her memorial will be held at Anderson-McQueen 2201 Dr MLK St, St Petersburg, FL on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 3pm to 6pm.

Additionally the family is planning a memorial service to be held this May in Sayville NY and will announce the details in the near future.
