Obituary of George J. Wohnhaas

WOHNHAAS, George J., 85, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000 at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. He came here in 1980 from his native Baltimore, MD. He was retired from Exxon Oil Company as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. In Baltimore, he was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and was a Grand Knight of Archbishop Curley Council of Knights of Columbus. He was very active for many years in Baltimore?s Junior Achievement program. He was an avid gardener. Survivors include his son, George ?Chip? of Jim Thorpe, PA; a sister, Agnes Nibali, Baltimore; a grandson, Lt. Michael Wohnhaas, U.S. Navy, Matawan, NJ; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Wohnhaas, Washington, DC. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes and Cremation Tribute Center ? Bobbitt Chapel.
