Obituary of Stratos P. Serbanos

SERBANOS, Stratos P., 87, of Pinellas Park, died Friday, February 25, 2000, at Largo Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Vamvakou, Greece, and moved to Pinellas Park in 1978 from Watertown, Massachusetts. He was a sheet metal worker for Peerless Pressed Metal Corporation, where he retired in 1977 after 13 years. Locally, he was a member of St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church. He was a member if International Union Electrical Workers, a past president and board member of the Greek American Political Club in Cambridge, MA, and a former member of the Church of the Archangles Taxiarchae and the Middlesex Club, both of Watertown. He is survived by two sons, Peter, of Clearwater, and James, of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Georgia Rozanitis, Arlington, MA; two sisters, Eugenia Maverick, Haverhill, MA, and Flora Nicholaides, Arlington, MA; a brother, Peter, Athens, Greece, and four grandchildren.
