Obituary of Per Otto Hansen-Smith

Hansen-Smith, Per Otto, 74, of St. Petersburg, died Friday Feb. 25, 2000 at the Arbors of St. Petersburg. Born in Moss, Norway, he came here in 1978 from Long Island, New York. He was a self-employed carpenter in New York and here. He was a Lutheran and a member of Sons of Norway in New York. He was a machine gun operator in the underground for Norway against Germany during WWII. He enjoyed sculpting, painting, woodcarving and cooking. Survivors include a son Jac, Toronto; a daughter Ellen Mason, Hauppauge, L.I., New York; a sister, Grete Michelson, Norway, and five grandchildren.
