Obituary of Ferdinando Salvatore Fucci

FUCCI,Ferdinando Salvatore "Fred", 82 of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000 of a brain tumor. He was born in Camden, NJ and came here in 1982 from Delran, NJ and was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. He was a barber in Riverton, NJ where he was owner & operator of Fred's Barber Shop. He was retired from the Navy and served during WWII. He was a Member of the Fraternal Order of Police in Riverside, NJ, a 17 year member of Florida Sheriff's Association in St. Petersburg, a 50-year member of American Legion Post #14 in St. Petersburg, a member of Rotary Club in Riverton, NJ, and started the Crime Watch Program in Winston Park where he was very active in social activities. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mathilda M.; one daughter, Dorothy Linda Smay of St. Petersburg; one grandson, Daniel Louis Smay also of St. Petersburg.
