Obituary of Elinor Mary Howell Wunderlich

Wunderlich, Elinor Mary Howell, 70, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, after a long illness. She moved to St. Petersburg in 1961 from her native Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. She was Head Nurse in the Neurological Institute at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC, NY from 1950-1957. Locally, she worked with her husband, Dr. Ray Wunderlich Jr.?s Pediatric office where she served organic meals. She also authored a recipe booklet on whole-food eating. She was a member of Lakewood Country Club and Bartlett Park Tennis Center. Elinor loved tennis, classical music, running, and doing oil paintings of landscapes and still objects. She was also one of the first docents at the Museum of Fine Arts. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ray C. Wunderlich Jr. M.D. of St. Petersburg; two daughters: Mary Wunderlich Faurot of McCall, Idaho and Janet Wunderlich Matthews of St. Petersburg; two sons: Ray C. Wunderlich III of St. Petersburg and David A.Wunderlich of Chevy Chase, MD; two brothers: Joseph and Charles Howell both of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada; and four grandchildren.
